Downe House Riyadh, the first and only British branded girls’ school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced today the appointment of a new Head of School, starting in August 2022.
Adele O’Doherty joins Downe House Riyadh from her position as acting Headmistress of Northampton High School, a member of the prestigious Girls Day School Trust in the U.K.
Adele has spent the past ten years of her distinguished teaching career working in some of the best girls’ schools in the world. Her most recent role was Acting Head of Northampton High, part of the Girls’ Day School Trust. Adele is passionate about ensuring pupils have a safe environment and strong pastoral care, enabling them to thrive and achieve their goals. She is excited to support pupils to flourish academically at Downe House Riyadh and prepare them for the world’s top universities. Adele has worked with pupils from all over the world during her career and is looking forward to moving to Riyadh with her husband.
In preparation for Adele’s move to Riyadh, she will be visiting the Kingdom between the 26th – 28th of June to meet with parents of new pupils at Downe House Riyadh.
